Treat those the way you wish to be treated Personal Post 3

I am SO stressed and tired and just overall drained from school, friends, family and pretty much every other aspect of life. But one issue which i am currently frustrated with in particular is my job. I'm a server and it REALLY grinds my gears dealing with customers with attitudes after I pleasantly bring them their beverages. I'm sorry our prices increased, I'm sorry there's a fee for debit use and I'm sorry the table you wanted to sit at is taken. If I were to make the rules, perhaps it would be different. I treat you with respect so why can't you do the same? If it weren't for my regulars who have the ability to lift my spirit I don't know how I'd make it to the end of my shift. If you're miserable do not take it out on those around you, attempting to merely satisfy you.  We deal with enough people who take out their stress and dissatisfaction on us already, so please keep in mind all your service providers are people too. You are not better than them, so don't act as though you are.

Writing Response #2

We have started writing a moment which had a significant impact on our lives. I decided to write about when I was first diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. For the most part it was a fairly traumatizing memory but I've adapted to the changes. We are expected to use detail in our stories but not to directly tell the audience the emotions that took place at that specific time. We are encouraged to show our emotions by explaining them using senses such as sight, smell, hear and feel. This method is used to help the reader imagine taking place in the story. The description of how something smells, looks, sounds or feels is more informative than just saying it. I personally enjoy  reading articles, novels, etc. that contain interesting detail that makes me feel like i'm the character witnessing whatever is going on.

The Office Personal Post 2

I love anything that has to do with The Office. Best. Show. Ever.

Waiting on the world to change Personal Post 1

This song reminds me so much of all the Kony advertisement. In this song it's talking about how civilians are for the most part powerless, and we really are waiting on the world to change. So many of us have no idea how to help people in need when all we really want to do is contribute. Also, i have posted the Kony 2012 video for those who have not seen it to be informed on how it is possible to help fight for the cause.

KONY 2012

A couple days ago I saw a whole bunch of updates on something called "Kony 2012". I really had no idea what it was about, but by the look of the statuses it looked like it was going to be a huge topic in conversation for the next little while. I was extremely curious what this was about, so like everyone else who has an unanswered question, I relied on Google to explain it to me. It lead me to a Youtube video, which at the time had roughly 8.5 million views. When a Youtube video has that many views, it pretty much means it's worth watching. I couldn't help but notice it was nearly a half hour long, but I gave it a shot anyway. It began with a guy talking about humanity and what humans need emotionally to survive. Then it he started talking about Ugandan children and the struggles they face on a daily basis. One boy in particular, Jacob, explains how a man by the name of Joseph Kony has overpowered Ugandan civilians, children to be precise, turning the girls into sex slaves and the boys into child soldiers. It automatically made me, and I'm sure many others that come from a much safer country, feel so appreciative of the luxuries we possess that we take for granted everyday. After a third of the video was over, i couldn't help but cry. I couldn't help but feel so touched by the inspirational stories of the unfortunate lives of these children. Joseph Kony has been the mastermind behind the abduction of thousands of children for many years, which made me feel furious. Supposedly he doesn't even have a reason, he is only doing this to remain powerful. Why? I can not imagine how anyone could be so heartless and do such destruction to a country and not even attempt to provide an excuse. I am appalled. After watching the video I was determined to do my part. I believe that people all over the world should assist each other in time of need, and that every person in the world deserves a fair chance. Joseph Kony has destroyed the hope of so many children, and the point of the Youtube video was to make his name known, to inform the people of a higher power to help find and arrest Kony. When an issue has made civilians from everywhere outraged, the resolution of the issue becomes a priority. This is why on April 20th, posters, stickers, signs, and any other form of advertisement advertising Kony will be posted everywhere, not only in Canada, but everywhere! I suggest you take a look at the video if you have not already, and decide if helping save strangers is in your interest.

"that one decision will change everything"

www.tvloop.comy

I don't have the slightest clue how to use Flickr, so once again this is a Google image haha. As some may already know, I live for The Office. One decision in life can completely aand drastically change your life forever, whether it's good or bad (but we're focusing on the good). If you have any knowledge on the characters of The Office you're aware that in the earlier seasons, Jim and Pam (in the photo above) are destined for each other but it takes so long for them to admit it. Jim is single (other than when he dates Karen, hate her.) but Pam is engaged to Roy, who is one of the warehouse guys at their paper company. Pam decided to leave Roy and to give it a shot with Jim, which is what all spectators openly wanted. This example just reminded me that one little choice can alter your daily life substantially.

"girls just want to have fun"

www.visualphotos.com

For a teenage girl, life is stressful. It's not even just the big details that make things so irritating, but also things like our hair or if the pair of jeans you wanted to wear weren't washed yet. I'll admit how superficial our society has become, and many on these stresses wouldn't be present if society didn't push perfection down our throats. After finishing your biology final, or attending an uneventful family gathering (which I personally enjoy, don't know why so many people complain!) girls just want to have a good time! They want to be free of their anxiety and let loose a little. I mean hey, what's the point of even living if you don't get some pleasure in there?
"Those who mind do not matter."

I can not figure out how to use Flickr!! Very frustrating. So Google images had to do, and thatès where the photo credit comes from. The statement of this memoir is pretty self explanitory. I feel that everyone should express themselves however they choose and do whatever makes them happy and who is anyone else to judge. We are all one of a kind individuals but the media has not only encouraged us, bus has brainwashed us of what is classified "normal". We need to be liberated from the strains that keep us from being ourselves, and to not care what other people who most like have little to no significance think of us. I took this quote from a popular one stating "Those who mind do not matter, and those who matter do not mind." This quote is so true and is a guideline for someone who feels judged for being themselves.
